 | | When you hang a cord on a compartment door that swings upward you need to secure it with two straps to stop it from falling all over the place. Make sure you secure it more to the bottom of the door, when its in the up position so that when you close the door it doesnt sneak down and get in the way of closing the door itself.
Attach the bottom strap (the one at the bottom, near the hinge when the door is open) first and hang your cord. Close the door to see how its going to hang. You can lengthen the strap somewhat to adjust for length. Attach the second strap to the cord so you can see where to place the screw. I have used 1 screws and just used my drill with a screwdriver bit in it to hang the cords. I have hung a 25 30 amp cord, a 50 10 gauge, a 25 water hose and all kinds of smaller cords using the straps and have driven thousands of miles with them. Works just great! | | | |
