Inexpensive fix for expensive problem, 11.21.2009
Reviewer: Fred Joest (Sun City Center, FL)
I had a main awning "escape" from the stored position while cruising on an Interstate in a buffeting cross wind. The fix was inexpensive and easy to install.
Simply drill a 1/4 inch hole in each of your main awning stantions (in a fore & aft direction) as high as you can reach and install one of these oversize safety pins. END OF PROBLEM !
Hang the safety pins on the steering wheel when removed from the awning stantion. This is an effective reminder to re-install them before hitting the highway again.
