To help you understand the principle of the Lane Seeker, look at it as if it is an aiming device. It is similar to your aiming a rifle. With Lane Seeker, you focus your eye on the Red diode and then place the diode on the centerline of the road. Correcting your steering to keep the diode on the centerline or the inside edge of the cement obstacles used in highway construction areas will keep you at the safe distance you have selected.
This is how easy it is to set up your Laneseeker. Park your unit leaving between 18 and 24 inches of space between the left side of your unit and a straight line that will represent the centerline of a road. This procedure should only be done when your vehicle is stopped and in a safe place, such as a parking lot or rest area. Now, place your Lane Seeker on your windshield when you are parked so it can be calibrated for each individual driver.
Looking out of your windshield observing this line, place your Lane Seeker over this line so that you have an equal amount of space on each side of the numbered bar when you are sitting in your normal driving position.
(Hint)If you place your Lane Seeker so the centerline comes between the numbers 3 and 4, you will have the maximum room for making an adjustment for each individual driver.
Positioning your Lane Seeker in the lower left corner of your windshield will not in any way interfere or obstruct your vision of the highway but will be very visible to each driver. To make the final adjustment, each driver should adjust their seat so that they are in their normal driving position and then observe where the line is in relation to the number bar. If the diode is not on the centerline, the driver should squeeze the legs of the “A” clip so that the RED diode can be moved either to the right or left until it is over this line. Each driver should record this number so they are able to reposition the diode whenever it is their turn to drive.
(Hint) Marking the position of each suction cup will allow you to return your Lane Seeker to its original position without your having to go through the original process all over again should it become dislodged from the windshield. I use a magic marker to underline the bottom edge of each suction cup.
Lane Seeker becomes a very valuable tool to help any driver stay in their chosen lane and they will rely on it when they need that extra help to keep them from drifting into another lane or scraping the side of their unit doing hundreds, even thousands of dollars in damage.

Gentlemen,
Just when you think you've got this motorhome driving under control, something usually comes up and bites you. Usually in a tight spot, when you are trying to see everything at once. After getting the LaneSeeker properly set on my windshield, and KNOWING just where I am in reference to the traffic lane, I find it much easier and reassuring, to THEN check mirrors and back-up camera for curbs, obstructions, other distractions, and possible hazards, knowing that I definitely have that two feet of safety margin on both sides of my coach. It is a reference that I can always check and recheck without taking my eyes off the road and other pending problems that may lie ahead. I can't tell you how much it is part of my driving routine.
I recently had to have my windshield replaced and panicked when I realized my LaneSeeker had been removed, but of course, I easily reset it. One tip, making a small magic marker dot on the inside of the windshield where the suction cups attach makes it easy to replace it to exactly the same position.
Thanks again for LaneSeeker!
