 | Product Details | | | Audiovoxs reliable SIRCMB3 plug-and-play tuner lets you hear SIRIUS Satellite Radio just about everywhere you are! When used with Audiovox home and car kits, you can transfer the tuner between your home and your vehicle, and only pay one subscription fee.
The super-compact tuner offers an easy-to-read 5-line display that lists channel info, artist, song title, and category title. Its intuitive controls include an encoder knob and 10 number keys for quick navigation through lists and menus. You can program up to 30 presets of your favorite channels, as well as search by channel, artist name, song title, or category.
The convenient S-Seek memory remembers the names of 24 of your favorite songs, and alerts you when one of them is playing on SIRIUS. A built-in wireless FM transmitter sends the SIRIUS signal to any in-dash radio (or use the car kits line output if your receiver has an auxiliary input).
You will need either the car kit or the home kit (or both) for the system to work. Each kit includes all the accessories you will need to connect the tuner to your preferred stereo.
SIRIUS offers more than 120 channels of top-notch entertainment for just $12.95 per month. Check out 65 channels of totally commercial-free music, and an incredible variety of news, talk, sports, and entertainment -- including round-the-clock traffic/weather updates for major metropolitan areas and play-by-play broadcasts of the NFL and many college sporting events. (Satellite radio service is available only within the lower 48 states -- not available in Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. territories.) Subscribers can also take advantage of free online streaming of all SIRIUS music.
Includes Sirius Satellite Radio Shuttle receiver, Wireless remote control, 2 "AAA" batteries, Shuttle User Guide, Product Registration Card, Sirius Satellite Radio channel guide and Car Kit (Low-profile Docking station, Roof-mount Antenna with 21 foot cable, Available 3.5MM jack to male RCA connector for integration into the vehicle audio system via Aux-IN).
| | | | | Features & Specifications | | | Sirius Satellite Radio Sirius Satellite Radio features over 120 channels beamed coast-to-coast, including more than 65 commercial-free, digital-quality music channels, and over 50 channels of news, talk, sports, entertainment, children's programming, and instant weather and traffic information.
Display The Shuttle receiver has a large, bright, 2-1/2" x 1-3/8" amber backlit LCD screen. You can manually adjust the display's contrast and dimming controls for best viewing. The Auto Dimmer option allows the Shuttle to use ambient light to automatically sense and determine the proper display intensity for the current lighting conditions. You can also choose the Font type used in the text display.
FM Transmitter The receiver features a built-in FM transmitter allowing you to listen to satellite programming on your FM radio. You can choose any of 35 transmitting frequencies between 88.1MHz and 94.9MHz. You can use the left/right arrows to select the frequency in 1MHz steps (88.1, 89.1, 90.1...) or the encoder knob to select the frequency in smaller, 200kHz steps (88.1, 88.3, 88.5...). In the menu, you can turn the FM transmitter on or off as needed.
Category Tuning The two-way Category Tuning button allows you to cycle through the available genres of programming, such as Pop, Rock, Country, Hip-Hop, R&B/Urban, Electronic/Dance, Jazz/Standards, Classical, Latin & World, News, Traffic & Weather, Sports, and Talk/Entertainment. Once the category has been selected, you can choose the channels from that category using the Encoder knob.
Preset Tuning The Sirius Shuttle receiver allows you to store up to 30 presets in 3 separate banks (A, B, and C). Preset channels can be tuned directly by selecting a preset band and pressing the preset number on the numeric keypad (unit or remote). You can also activate the preset scan function--each preset channel is displayed and tuned in sequence until the desired channel is located. The Preset List mode displays the preset channels one at-a-time or six at-a-time by Channel Name, Artist Name or Song Title. While the lists are displayed, you can navigate through the channel list using the Encoder knob until the desired channel is located.
Direct Tuning Using the numeric buttons on the supplied remote or the face of the receiver, you can directly access Sirius channels by their 3-digit channel numbers.
Skip/Add You can select a seldom-tuned channel to be "skipped", if desired. This prevents the channel from being accessible during any of the tuning modes (except direct tuning). A skipped channel can be re-added using the same menu.
Channel Lock You can lock a channel, making it only available during direct tuning. When a locked channel is direct tuned, you will need to enter a 4-digit code before the channel can be heard.
Look Ahead The Content Listing feature, or "Look Ahead" feature, allows you to view what is playing on other channels without having to change the current channel you are listening to. You can select whether you want to view artist names currently playing on other channels or song titles.
Memory Function This feature, also referred to as "s-seek", allows you to capture and store the current program data information, including channel name, channel number, artist, and song title. You can store program data information for up to 24 songs. The Shuttle receiver also has the capability to search the current incoming Sirius signal, and alert you if it matches the program data information stored in memory.
Jump Options The Jump button, located between preset button 5 and 6, lets you preset a traffic/weather information channel, then toggle between that channel and the currently tuned music/entertainment channel you are listening to.
Antenna Strength You can check the strength of the Sirius satellite signal being received. When locating the antenna in your home, you should place the antenna in a spot that illuminates the maximum number of bars on the meter.
Audio Output Level You can adjust the level of the audio output to match the other sources in your audio system. You can choose from 10 audio output levels.
Time-Based Functions The Shuttle Receiver has a built-in clock with the time data provided by the Sirius signal. The clock options can be set for 12-hour or 24-hour operation, time zone and observance of Daylight Saving Time. Once the clock data is set, you can activate the following functions: - Alarm Clock: The built-in alarm clock can be set to turn on the unit at a specific time.
- Program Alert: The Program Alert function allows you to program the unit to turn on and switch to a selected channel at a specific time.
- Auto Shutdown: The unit can be set to automatically shut off after a one-hour period without any user intervention. After 59 minutes of inactivity, a beep-tone sounds and a display prompt appears on the screen allowing you the option of canceling auto shutdown. This function is useful when the unit is being powered solely on battery.
- Sleep Mode: You can program the receiver to shut off after a selected period of time. You can select sleep time settings of 15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes.
Factory Default To revert back to the original receiver settings all at once, you can activate the factory default screen.
Remote Control The supplied remote gives you access to all the controls that are on the receivers front panel, as well as audio mute. It features a 0-9 number pad.
