 | Product Details | | | Inexpensive, Easily Installed, Durable! Nearly every motorhomer has seen, heard about, or experienced a patio awning that has blown open while traveling. This situation can do serious damage to the awning and also could lead to an accident. To help prevent this from occurring, Loess Hills Innovations Inc. has developed the RV Awning Travel Lock, which, according to company literature, prevents the awning roller from turning and allowing the canopy to billow while traveling. The Travel Lock is designed to fit nearly all A&E and Carefree of Colorado manual awnings. It takes approximately 30 minutes to install and, once in place, requires just a few seconds to set or release. Don't let the wind blow your awning off while traveling on the highway. | | | | | Features & Specifications | | | Designed to fit most A & E and Carefree awnings manufactured since 1985 Requires a flat, hollow awning rafter inside and behind the left hand awning arm. Attaches to the back of the left hand awning rafter with three screws. Mounting bracket is adjustable for pin alignment with the the awning roller cap. Requires drilling a 3/8" hole into the rim of the awning roller cap. Some awning roller caps require the addition of one or more pop rivets to prevent movement of the cap. The lock is set and released using the awning rod furnished with the travel awning. Setting the lock pins the roller so it can not turn, reducing the chance the awning will unfurl while traveling. | | | |
